Miley Cyrus calls out ‘creepy’ Alex Cooper at ‘Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’ premiere

Miley Cyrus called Alex Cooper out for being “creepy” and pretending she didn’t know where the pop star lived during her “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” premiere.

The “Flowers” singer teased the “Call Her Daddy” podcast creator, who hosted the long-awaited “Hannah Montana” event, while talking with fans at Hollywood’s Sunset Gower Studios on Monday night.

“Alex being a superfan, kinda creepy, she’s also my neighbor, which is also creepy,” Cyrus, 33, began in a video shared to X. “She got money, and then she moved next door to me, so there was no other host.”

Cyrus continued, “Yeah, it was weird. She’s like, ‘Oh my god, you live here?’ She interviewed me at my house five years ago, you know damn well where I live!”

As the audience laughed and cheered, the “Wrecking Ball” singer thanked Cooper, 31, for hosting the premiere and for being “so insanely dedicated to ‘Hannah Montana.’”

Page Six has reached out to Cooper’s rep for comment.

Cyrus previously opened up about the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” and how Cooper helped shape it during a chat with Variety published March 18.

“She understands Hannah in a way that I couldn’t,” she told the outlet. “I never got to experience Hannah being crazy in the pit with other kids.”

Besides helping to organize the set and music, Cooper also arranged Selena Gomez’s cameo.

“I love Selena, but I didn’t know how much our friendship meant to the fans,” Cyrus said.

As for the “Party in the U.S.A.” hitmaker’s decision to begin the special by driving from her Malibu home to the Hollywood soundstage, that was Cooper’s idea as well.

“I didn’t think about the correlation between Hannah’s house in Malibu and my house in Malibu, and my house burning down and me rebuilding,” she told Variety.

Cyrus and Disney+ officially announced the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” on Feb. 17.

Although fellow “Hannah Montana” alums Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso couldn’t make the special, they took to social media on the night of the premiere to gush about their time on the hit Disney Channel show.

The “Something Beautiful” artist, who has been engaged to drummer Maxx Morando since December 2025, also used the premiere to reveal her secret romance with Dylan Sprouse back in the day.
