Jesse Metcalfe reveals who he still talks to on ‘Desperate Housewives’ cast after revealing he was fired

Jesse Metcalfe candidly shared that he has nothing but love for the “Desperate Housewives” cast after recently revealing he was fired from his role as the hotshot gardener.

“I still talk to Eva [Longoria] from time to time,” the actor, who portrayed John Rowland, the teenager who was having an affair with Longoria’s character, Gabrielle Solis, told Page Six at the Clarins Night of Extra on March 20.

Also, “I absolutely love Marcia Cross,” he gushed. “[I] saw her in a Broadway production in New York City a couple of years ago.”

Metcalfe, 47, shared that Cross, who played Bree Van de Kamp in the early 2000s drama, “was really touched” that he “showed up” to support her.

“I’ve just always been a huge fan of her, especially as an actor,” he added. “I think she’s incredibly talented.”

As for Felicity Huffman, who portrayed Lynette Scavo, the “John Tucker Must Die” star says he is thrilled to see her “working a lot again because she’s an incredible talent.”

Huffman has slowly been making guest appearances on shows after serving nearly two weeks in prison and paying a hefty $30,000 fine for her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal.

The scandal saw the actress pay $15,000 to improve her daughter Sophia’s SAT scores and get admitted to college.

“Honestly, I loved everybody on the show,” Metcalfe continued.

The “Ninth Passenger” star shared that he was let go from the ABC Studios series, which aired from 2004 to 2012, after Season 1 because the writers “didn’t really know where else to take [his] storyline.”

Metcalfe told Page Six on Friday that he had booked “John Tucker Must Die” at the time he was fired, explaining, “It wasn’t as much as a blow” since the movie wasn’t in the works, but it still “motivated [him] to grow his career.”

The “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” star shared his forthcoming projects, including the James Cullen Bressack-directed film “Boris Is Dead” and the K. Asher Levin-directed horror movie “The Possession at Gladstone Manor.”

Metcalfe, however, has taken his talent outside the entertainment industry and launched his skincare brand Nutrl Skin last April.

The businessman shared that the brand currently consists of four products — a facial cleanser, moisturizer, and serums — which have “anti-aging and collagen boosting” ingredients.
