Anna Wintour has recruited Oscar-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens to direct a documentary project, sources exclusively tell Page Six Hollywood.
Stevens was spotted attending New York Fashion Week events last month, and was backstage at the Calvin Klein spring 2025 ready-to-wear show, we hear.
Rumors started circulating that Wintour wooed Stevens, who directed Netflix’s docuseries “Beckham,” for her own doc.
Said an insider: “They have started filming, following [Wintour], and also looking at the world behind-the-scenes as she takes on this new global role and hands over Vogue US. I believe they were filming her at the recent fashion weeks.”
The same source said “everyone wants” the film, but Netflix would be an obvious choice, since the streamer previously did Stevens’ doc on David Beckham.
But another source told us the film is actually being made for Condé’s internal purposes only, and insisted the film is about Vogue globally, not Wintour.

Stevens won an Academy Award for the 2009 doc, “The Cove.” Wintour was a presenter at the Oscars on Sunday night. She was also featured in the brilliant 2009 R.J. Cutler doc, “The September Issue,” which followed preparations for her mag’s annual fall fashion issue and the Met Gala.
Last fall, Chloe Malle took over Vogue US editorial, while Wintour remains Condé Nast chief content officer and global editorial director of Vogue. Reps did not comment.
