Mandy Moore and her family scored the ultimate VIP experience at LEGOLAND California Resort on Friday, becoming among the first to try the park’s newest thrill.
Galacticoaster is set to “rocket” into action in early 2026, and the resort unveiled a first look at the twisting track taking shape in the Fun Town section of the park.

The Emmy-nominated star and singer was spotted alongside her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, and their two young sons checking out the new thriller.
Set inside a massive 30,000-square-foot building that rises more than 30 feet high, the cosmic adventure is the resort’s first new coaster in over 20 years. In all, it was brought to life by a global team of 500 builders working non-stop for the past year.

Galacticoaster features almost 1,500 feet of winding track, inviting families to climb aboard their own custom spacecraft, soar through dazzling cosmic landscapes, and embark on a one-of-a-kind journey across the LEGO galaxy.

“Galacticoaster is going to launch LEGOLAND California into a whole new galaxy of fun,” said Flora Liu, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making.
“It’s our first coaster here in more than 20 years and part of Merlin’s largest-ever LEGOLAND investment – $90 million to bring Galacticoaster to both LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Florida,” she said.
“We’ve pulled inspiration from LEGO sets families have loved for decades, while layering in modern technology to create the most immersive and personalized coaster experience yet.”
