U.S. Central Command said Sunday afternoon that it has struck more than 1,000 targets in Iran in two days of operations, including ships, submarines, missile sites, communications links, and the command-and-control centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. President Trump said in a Sunday evening video address that “there will likely be more” U.S. casualties, after the military said three service members were killed in action and five seriously wounded. The joint operation with Israel that began Saturday killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader. Israel said Sunday that it launched another wave of strikes, and Iran carried out attacks on Israel and across the Persian Gulf region. Trump said combat operations would continue “until all of our objectives are achieved” but did not define what they were.
