GOP lawmaker throws a fit over ICE rules: ‘We can’t have a warrant every time’

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) insisted that Democrats’ demands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were not achievable because agents “can’t have a warrant every time.”

“You know, look, the initial requirements or request that the Democrats put in, demands, if you will, they were just unattainable,” Carter told Fox Business host Ashley Webster on Tuesday. “And we’ve got to take care of our ICE agents. We’ve got to make sure that they are protected.”

“Yeah, body cams are good, and we know [border czar] Tom Homan is going to draw down in Minnesota,” he added. “All of those things are good, working toward a solution here in an agreement.

“But some of the demands that the Democrats have put forth, we’re not going to be able to obtain that. We can’t have a warrant every time. And ICE is so important, and I support ICE.”
