Megyn Kelly dumbfounded by Republican’s racist post

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL), who has a history of making genocidal and racist remarks, caused a stir after suggesting that dogs were preferable to Muslims, an offensive remark that left prominent conservative commentator Megyn Kelly dumbstruck.

“If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one,” Fine wrote Sunday in a social media post on X, making clear on Monday which of the two he preferred.

“We will not be shamed into being conquered like the Europeans,” Fine wrote in a follow-up post on Monday. “I choose my dog.”

The remark drew outrage from the likes of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who called it “racist,” CNN’s Jake Tapper, who called it “disgusting bigotry,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who called for Fine to be “censured,” and Kelly, who simply wrote “wtf is this.”

To Tapper and Khanna, Fine challenged them to a debate on the subject.

“If you’re man enough to debate me, I’ll come on your show,” Fine told Tapper, and to Khanna, Fine said he would “look forward to the debate,” and challenged him to “bring it.”

To Kelly, however, Fine took a much softer approach, perhaps due to her conservative leanings.

“Happy to come on to discuss,” he politely offered to Kelly in response to her remarks.

Fine has frequently targeted Muslims with blatantly racist and Islamophobic language. He’s also uttered genocidal remarks as it relates to the Israel-Gaza conflict, writing in 2023 “may the streets of Gaza overflow with blood.” And, in response to a photo shared with him of a Palestinian infant buried in rubble, Fine wrote “thanks for the pic!”
