Kate Middleton and Prince William snuggle in never-before-seen photo for Valentine’s Day

Kate Middleton and Prince William uploaded a black-and-white photo of themselves smiling to Instagram in honor of Valentine’s Day.

On Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared the picture from an April photo shoot in Anmer, Norfolk.

Middleton and William’s 2025 Christmas Card image was from the same shoot captured by photographer Josh Shinner.

The couple simply captioned their post: “Happy Valentine’s Day 💕.”

Last year, Middleton and William marked the special occasion by sharing a rare PDA picture via Instagram.

The Prince of Wales kissed his other half’s cheek in the snap at the time.

This year’s photo comes weeks after Middleton spoke about the “moments of fear and exhaustion” she faced before entering remission for cancer.

The Princess posted a video to Instagram of herself visiting with cancer patients.

“On World Cancer Day, my thoughts are with everyone who is facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing treatment or finding their way through recovery,” she began in a voiceover.

“Cancer touches so many lives — not only patients, but the families and friends and caregivers who walk beside them,” Middleton reflected.

“As anyone who has experienced this journey will know, it’s not linear. There are moments of fear and exhaustion. But also moments of strength, kindness, and profound connection.”

Middleton stressed that those impacted by cancer need to remember “the importance of care, understanding and hope.”

“Please know you are not alone.”

Middleton revealed that she was being treated for cancer in March 2024. That September, she announced she was cancer-free.

“I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Middleton wrote on X at the time. “Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

The Princess of Wales noted that she was “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

Middleton, who shares Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with William, first returned to work in September 2024, after completing her preventative chemotherapy.

In July 2025, Middleton opened up about life after treatment.

From her own experience, the mom of three said that those in remission need to find their new normal.

“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,” she elaborated while at Colchester Hospital in Essex, England.

“You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to,” detailed Middleton.

Offering advice of her own, the mom of three expressed: “You have to find your new normal and that takes time…and it’s a roller coaster, it’s not smooth, like you expect it to be. But the reality is you go through hard times.”
