Gordon Ramsay thinks Brooklyn Beckham is “desperate to forge his own way” in his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham, which has led to his highly publicized fallout with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
“It’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. They say it for that reason,” Ramsay told The Sun while promoting his forthcoming Netflix series, “Being Gordon Ramsay” in an interview published on Friday.
The chef conceded that it’s a “difficult situation.”
“He’s desperate to stand on his own two feet. He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from Brooklyn. It’s such a good thing to do. But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that.”
“Victoria is upset, and with every right to be upset,” Ramsay, 59, said of the family’s ongoing feud, adding that he and his family also attended Brooklyn’s 2022 Palm Beach wedding, where the hot sauce entrepreneur claims Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him.
“I know 24/7, seven days a week, just how much David loves Brooklyn,” the “Next Level Chef” star continued.
Brooklyn, 26, unfollowed most of his relatives on social media in December — a month before he publicly declared in his bombshell statement that he no longer wanted to reconcile with his parents.
However, he maintains a “solid” relationship with Ramsay. The “Master Chef” host revealed in his Friday interview that he and Brooklyn have “messaged a little bit.”
“I love him. His heart is incredible,” Ramsay said.
In addition to accusing his mother, 51, of “hijacking” his wedding dance with his wife, Brooklyn also claimed his parents created “countless lies” and tried to “ruin” his and Peltz’s relationship.
Though things appear dark for the famous family, Ramsay insisted that David, 50, will ultimately find a way to make things right with his eldest son.
“I’ve seen first-hand just how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible,” he said. “They’ve both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they’ve got Brooklyn out of the s–t.”
He closed, urging Brooklyn to remember where he comes from and the sacrifices his parents have made on his behalf.
Reps for Brooklyn did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
“I think it’s going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself and understands just what his parents mean to him,” Ramsay cautioned. “That penny will drop.”
“I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man.”
“But, boy, they’ve done more for you than anyone did in your entire life,” he added. “Time’s going to be the best healer, and David will absolutely get that relationship back on track.”
In January, Brooklyn released a scathing statement about his ongoing family feud, writing on social media at the time, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”
