Teddi Mellencamp marks 1st anniversary of her brain surgery with emotional reflection

Teddi Mellencamp marked the first anniversary of her brain surgery with a touching post on Instagram.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum took to social media on Monday to express her gratitude while reflecting on the milestone in an emotional caption.

“A year ago today I went into the ER thinking I had migraines and within 24 hours was having surgery on the plum-sized stage 4 tumors on my brain,” she captioned a photo of her in the hospital.

“I have a lot of anxiety surrounding today but also a lot of gratitude. Gratitude for the doctors and nurses who took care of me, gratitude for my family and friends for supporting me, and gratitude for all the love that you have poured into me.”

“Trust your instincts. Get checked ❤,” Mellencamp, 44, concluded.

Her comments section was flooded with warm messages of support, including one from fellow “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards, who praised Mellencamp’s strength.

The reality star revealed her stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022 and underwent more than a dozen surgeries — including the emergency procedure in February 2025.

In October 2025, she gave the positive update that her stage 4 cancer was “gone,” but clarified that she is not considered to be “in remission” yet.

She started undergoing immunotherapy, which her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, said is “really hard on her mental health.”

He called Mellencamp’s “inner battle … one of the toughest ones” she has to fight since her diagnosis.

Last month, Mellencamp revealed that she was turning to therapy to process the “frustrating” cancer battle.

During her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, Mellencamp explained how she didn’t “properly process” her emergency surgery, being unable to see her children for stretches of time, and her divorce from Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.

The estranged pair share three children: daughter Slate, 13, son Cruz, 11, and daughter Dove, 5.

Last week, Mellencamp gave an update on her mental health while appearing on Page Six’s “Virtual Real-Tea.”

“I think physically I’m in a good place… What we don’t often talk about when it comes to cancer is how you feel after all of the surgeries and all of the testing. How you your mental state is doing — that has been suffering,” she told hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real.

“I’ve been in therapy, I’ve been working really hard trying to find that peace, find that happiness find that joy. Find myself again.”
