Ex-Prince Andrew officially moves out of Royal Lodge to begin exile after Epstein claims

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, has reportedly moved out of his 30-room mansion in Windsor and relocated to the Sandringham Estate.

According to the BBC, the former prince, 65, moved out of Royal Lodge on Monday night, formally kicking off his life in exile.

He’s now said to be temporarily residing on Wood Farm at Sandringham in Norfolk, pending completion of renovations on a “more modest” permanent residence at Marsh Farm.

The news outlet reported on Tuesday that he is “expected to return to Windsor over the next few weeks to collect the remainder of his belongings but his permanent base is now officially in Norfolk.”

According to the BBC, Andrew was spotted in Windsor horseback riding on Monday near Royal Lodge. The outlet also reported that he was snapped waving at bystanders while driving away from Windsor Castle.

Buckingham Palace did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Tuesday.

Royal author Andrew Lownie told Page Six last month that Andrew could end up further away than Marsh Farm following the ongoing scandal.

The “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York” author said he’s heard Andrew will relocate to Bahrain.

“Certainly, he is likely to go out there,” he told us in January. “He’s going (to) be away from press scrutiny … and it’ll be nice and sunny.”

In October, it was announced that “formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease” on Andrew’s longtime home at Royal Lodge.

Andrew was also stripped of the titles of “prince”and “Duke of York” in October by his brother, King Charles III.

“His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,” Buckingham Palace told Page Six in a statement at the time.

“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”

The statement continued, “These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

The residential move comes amid the release of new allegations and documents in the case of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 at the age of 66.

Last week, the DOJ released in excess of 3 million records — including a photo of Andrew holding himself up over an unnamed woman, who is seen lying underneath him, and crude email comments by Ferguson regarding Eugenie, who was 19 at the time.

Speculation surrounding Andrew’s alleged relationship with Epstein has surged, with the Thames Valley Police assessing allegations of an incident said to have occurred at Andrew’s former residence back in 2010.

Andrew has repeatedly denied allegations of wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, friends told Page Six on Tuesday that Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie, 35, whom he shares with ex wife Sarah Ferguson, is struggling as the scandal continues to unfold.

“I know that Eugenie feels like she’s being tarnished with a brush that’s not hers, that’s her father’s,” a friend told us. “She’s very, very frustrated.”

They added, “Beatrice and Eugenie are in as good as spirits as they can be. But it’s a s–t show, a never-ending s–t show.”Still, they continued, “I would not say they are estranged, that’s not 100% true.”

The insider also noted that it’s been “hard” for Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie to help out with packing up before the move.

“I know that Eugenie hasn’t really been around to help with all of the packing,” they divulged. “Beatrice has done a lot more, but they’ve got kids and jobs, so it’s very hard.”
