Booze-guzzling bozos hurl beer cans at cops during high-speed California car chase: police

A crew of boozed-up bozos hurled beer cans at cops during a high-speed car chase in San Bernardino on Sunday, cops said.

The beer-guzzling buffoons tried to elude county police deputies when they were caught at 2:13 a.m. doing “donuts” in a 2010 Infiniti G37 at an intersection in the city of Yucaipa — 15 miles east of San Bernardino, authorities said.

The goofy getaway attempt took place near the entrance of community college Crafton Hills, cops said — with two passengers in the Infiniti flinging the can in a feeble attempt to throw cops off their trail, county cops said.

The driver of the Infiniti — 21-year-old Yucaipa resident Christian Ivan Rios — sped up to more than 100 miles-per-hour during the pursuit and ran several stop lights in the process, police said in a news release.

Rios chose to wind through residential neighborhoods before pulling into a driveway and giving up the chase to try to run off on foot alongside his two passengers — 24-year-old Adrian Adono and 21-year-old Jerry Barrientos.

Deputies then caught the three young men without incident, ending the alleged beer can bandits’ escapades. The passengers were arrested for public intoxication and resisting a peace officer, cops said.

Rios was slapped with felony evading charges as well as exhibition of speed, reckless driving and driving under the influence, authorities said.

The Infiniti will impounded for 30 days because of a California law mandating the action following a reckless driving charge, according to police.
