Ex-NJ GOP aide who mutilated herself in fake anti-Trump attack plans ‘fresh start’ with legally troubled Florida friend

The ex-New Jersey GOP aide accused of paying a fetish artist to mutilate her body in a staged anti-Trump attack is going to shack up with her legally troubled, motorcycle-riding, marijuana-smoking childhood friend in Florida – hoping for a “fresh start.”

Natalie Greene, 26, was cleared to relocate to Fort Lauderdale to live with – and be supervised by – childhood campmate Kristen Elizabeth Haughton-James, who was previously busted for cocaine possession and riding an unlicensed vehicle in the streets, a Camden court heard Wednesday.

The 30-year-old told federal Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Pascal that she met Greene at summer camp 20 years ago and reconnected on Facebook after the former law student’s high-profile November arrest.

Haughton-James – a mother of two pictured on Instagram smoking pot and straddling her hot rod – will now act as Greene’s legal custodian, despite her previous run-ins with the law.

She was arrested last year for unlawfully riding an ATV in the street, an offense for which she is currently on probation, and was also cuffed in 2013 at age 19 for cocaine possession.

The heavily-inked part-time waitress, who sees her 7- and 2-year-old sons at least twice a week, told the court via video that she completed a treatment program for her drug charge – though she uses medical marijuana daily for anxiety.

She agreed to report any violations by Greene, a Maserati-driving former aide to Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), and assured Pascal she “completely understands” her responsibilities as her friend’s watchdog.

The glamorous alleged fraudster – still marked by horrific scars on her face and neck – will live in Haughton-James’ three-bedroom Florida rental. Greene also has a job lined up in Florida and will continue her mental health treatment.

The court also mandated she adhere to a curfew and continue wearing an ankle monitor.

The former Rutgers Law student’s lawyer argued in court that moving to the Sunshine State “gives her a fresh start and the ability to act normal,” adding her local job prospects are “slim to none.”

Greene, an Ocean City resident, was arrested in November, after she allegedly staged a bogus attack at Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve, claiming three assailants held her at gunpoint, hog-tied her with black zip ties and held her down while slashing her face and body on July 23.

“TRUMP WHORE” and “Van Drew is a racist” were also scrawled on her body with black marker.

Federal prosecutors alleged she paid a body modification artist $500 to carve dozens of gruesome wounds into her face, neck, chest, back and shoulders with a scalpel two days before the phony ambush.

Greene was taken to a hospital, where she and her accomplice gave police conflicting accounts of what happened and provided faulty descriptions of the phantom assailants, prosecutors said.

Authorities also found zip ties stashed in her Italian sports car.

Greene, who completed court-mandated mental health treatment, is charged with conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes and making false statements to federal law enforcement.

She faces up to 10 years behind bars and a $250,000 fine if convicted on both counts.
