Catherine O’Hara, the Canadian-born actress and comedian who delivered deliciously silly performances in movies such as “Beetlejuice” and “Home Alone,” partnered with Christopher Guest for a series of beloved mockumentaries, and gained a new generation of fans as Moira Rose, the vain former soap-opera star on “Schitt’s Creek,” has died. She was 71.
Her death was confirmed Friday by the management firm Brillstein Entertainment Partners, which represented her. A spokesperson for the firm did not share additional details.
A complete obituary will be published soon.
