Travis Kelce allegedly got involved in Taylor Swift’s tense relationship with Blake Lively amid the “Gossip Girl” star’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The Kansas City Chiefs player reportedly “encouraged” Swift to smooth things over with Lively before their bombshell text conversation unfolded in 2024, a source claimed to the US Sun Thursday.
“Things had become uncomfortable between Taylor and Blake, and although Taylor hadn’t said anything herself, Travis noticed the way Blake was speaking to her and felt it wasn’t right,” a source claimed to the outlet.

Kelce, 36, was allegedly “very much in [Swift’s] ear” about the tensions between her and Lively.
“He believed Blake’s behaviour toward Taylor felt off, and she should take a closer look at the dynamic, saying it wasn’t how a real friend should act,” the source alleged adding, “When Blake later raised concerns that their friendship had changed, Taylor didn’t hold back.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer was allegedly “encouraged” by her fiancéto “address the situation head-on and be honest about how she was feeling” about their dynamic.

“He didn’t dislike Blake, but he didn’t think it was fair on Taylor, who had been nothing but a present and loyal friend,” the insider said.
Reps for Kelce and Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Swift confronted Lively in a December 2024 text conversation that was revealed in unsealed court documents in the “A Simple Favor” star’s lawsuit against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.
When Lively, 38, reached out to Swift, 36, to check in and see if their friendship was “good,” Swift offered her some very honest feedback.

“I always want the opportunity to be a better friend if there’s something [I] unintentionally did,” Lively said, adding, “I know how busy and taxed you are – physically, emotionally, practically, so I don’t expect any more from you ever. Just want to make sure all is good.”
Swift bluntly replied, “No you’re not wrong, but it’s also not a big deal.”
The Grammy winner told her friend that she has been feeling “a little bit of a shift” in the way she communicates with her.

“Yes there has been a lot of the Justin stuff but I’ve been through things like this before and I know how all consuming it is,” Swift said. “It’s more like.. and I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts have been so nice in their intent but your last few… it’s felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees.”
She continued, “You said the word we’ like 18 times. And it feels awful to be in any way critical of any way you process what you’ve been going through but I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself, not like. A plural unit.
“When it’s a group I’m hearing from, I feel distanced from you even more than we are geographically.”

Lively defended herself, saying she was paranoid about sending texts, so she was being overly cautious with her language.
“So you’re feeling like you have to overly explain things or be overly nice or whatever but. It’s me!” Swift assured, explaining, “That’s just caused a little distance!”
Lively acknowledged that Swift was right, telling her, “I’ve internalized that everything digital may be public…So yeah, I’ve been texting like I’m writing. Not like me talking. I didn’t realize that until you pointed it out, but I see it.”

Swift told Lively that she didn’t owe her any apologies, though the actress still expressed her regrets.
“But I am sorry. To you. And I’m sorry to me and to our kids,” Lively said, referring to her and Ryan Reynolds’ four children, before saying of Baldoni, “F–k that guy and f–k his whole gaggle of supervillains.
Tensions had been building between Swift and Lively after the singer was dragged into the “Green Lantern” star’s ongoing legal dispute with her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director.
A source told Page Six last year that Swift felt “used” by Lively, while another insider noted their friendship would never be the same.

“She will forever be furious at how Blake quite clearly was using her for clout and leverage in her dealings with Justin. She really hates that Blake would even think like that, let alone write the things she did in that text,” the insider shared.
Page Six also reported that the Grammy award winner and Lively have not been in contactsince around the time of their text exchange.
Lively and Swift were last photographed together in October 2024. At the time, they were on a double date with Reynolds and Kelce at The Corner Store.
