Fans of President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement fumed on Monday after a former CNN host accused them of reinforcing ‘white supremacy.”
Former CNN host Don Lemon discussed MAGA’s response to a Sunday morning protest at a church in St. Paul, Minnesota, during a podcast interview on Monday, where he described the movement’s response as “entitled” and said that it stems from a “white supremacy” belief that America was founded as a white, Christian nation.
“It’s not the type of Christianity that I practice, but that entitlement comes from a supremacy, a white supremacy,” Lemon said.
Lemon was one of dozens of protesters to enter Cities Church in St. Paul, where the pastor is allegedly moonlighting as the local Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office leader, and yelled “ICE out!”
Fans of the MAGA movement shared their responses to Lemon’s comments on social media.
“OMG!! This idiot egged them on! He was one of the catalyst!” MAGA author Juanita Broaddrick posted on X.
“Clown car,” Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, posted on X.
“The guy storms into a church, lectures the pastor on why he is allowed to be there, and then has the audacity to call someone else ‘entitled,’” Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, posted on X.
“This n—- activated every infinity stone of wokeness in his possession after learning the Trump DOJ is investigating him. Hilarious,” political commentator Greg Foreman posted on X.
