Donald Trump‘s first post on his Truth Social platform on Monday morning did not sit well with some of his supporters — and they let him know in their responses to the presidential boast.
With reports that the Trump administration is looking into military options for the invasion and occupation of Greenland, which could set off a massive conflict with fellow NATO nations, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “I’m the one who SAVED NATO!!! President DJT”
In the comments, tucked within the normal flood of memes, were expressions of dissatisfaction that the president has allowed the military alliance between 32 members to exist.Despite the president not explaining how he has saved the alliance, which has existed since after World War II, MAGA fans asked why he is not pulling the US. out instead.
MarlaRW, whose account is full of Trump reposts, advised, “Perhaps that wasn’t for the best.”
“Why?!? You used to be against NATO?” snarled DJR I STAND WITH TRUMP.
Wearing a “Texans 4 Trump” hat, TxMnM, asked, “Am I to presume you have determined that it’s worth saving?”
Cancel Network complained, “Shouldn’t have done that. NATO is a Cold War relic. The United States does not need it.”
“Yeah, you shouldn’t have done it. NATO and the UN are as corrupt AF. Let them die from their own rot,” added “Trump won” Linda J Sullivan.
Patriot Lesa wrote, “That’s nothing to be proud of,” to which Steven Garrick agreed and added, “Finally, someone said otherwise!”
