Donald Trump on Saturday released what appeared to some to be a threat to freed political prisoners.
The president took to his own social media site, Truth Social, over the weekend to thank Venezuela for freeing the prisoners.
“Venezuela has started the process, in a BIG WAY, of releasing their political prisoners. Thank you!” Trump wrote. “I hope those prisoners will remember how lucky they got that the USA came along and did what had to be done.”
Trump added something ominous:
“I HOPE THEY NEVER FORGET! If they do, it will not be good for them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! President DJT.”
