Senator Lindsey Graham is among the numerous MAGA allies who appear to be seizing upon a surprise comment by Donald Trump on Saturday as a “signal” of a potential new target for global regime change.
After Trump’s overnight mission to kidnap and arrest the leader of Venezuela and his wife, the wife of a Trump aide hinted that Greenland could be the next step in Trump’s expansion efforts. But on Saturday, the president himself sent a statement that MAGA allies saw as a signal that Iran may actually be next.
Just minutes after posting about how he wants to make “Venezuela rich and safe again,” Trump turned his sights on the Middle East and Iran, writing, “Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Known Trump ally Lindsey Graham issued the following statement offering some “help”:
“TO THE IRANIAN PEOPLE: your long nightmare is soon coming to a close. Your bravery and determination to end your oppression has been noticed by @POTUS and all who love freedom. When President Trump says Make Iran Great Again, it means the protestors in Iran must prevail over the ayatollah. That is the clearest signal yet that he, President Trump understands Iran will never be great with the ayatollah and his henchmen in charge. To all who are sacrificing in Iran, God bless. Help is on the way.”
Fellow fringe Trump ally Laura Loomer, called “The Trump Whisperer” for her close connection to the president, also chimed in, writing on X, “JUST IN: President Trump says the US is ready to help the Iranian people secure their freedom amid growing anti-Iranian regime protests all over Iran.”
Elon Musk’s AI chatbot said that “Trump’s post signals US readiness to support Iran’s push for freedom amid ongoing protests, but it doesn’t declare immediate war. Sources show warnings against regime violence, with no strikes yet—diplomacy seems first. Tensions are high; stay tuned for updates.”
