Nation’s rage met by Kristi Noem urging Americans to ‘do something nice’ for ICE agents

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem urged Americans to “do something nice” for ICE agents — as she responded to a crisis of fury surrounding the shooting of a Minneapolis mom by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.

Noem was speaking at a press conference in New York City Thursday where she pushed a narrative of victim Renee Nicole Good, 37, being a domestic terrorist who was gunned down as she ran over an ICE agent in her car.

But she faced a barrage of questions — as well as multiple reports — that stated multiple videos of the incident directly contradict her version of events.

“This vehicle was used to hit this officer. It was used as a weapon. And the officer feels as though his life was in jeopardy,” Noem said.

But the videos show the officer at the side of the car as he pulled his trigger Wednesday.

“The headline is that the Homeland Security secretary has declared what happened and is putting the blame entirely on the woman who died and then saying, there needs to be an investigation,” CNN Dana’s Bash said.

“So I’m not sure how those those two go together.”

The shooting prompted outrage throughout the US, with major protests in several cities and thousands back on Minneapolis streets Thursday.

But Noem concluded her press conference by lauding “Law Enforcement Day,” which falls on Friday.

She called on members of the public to express appreciation for law enforcement personnel — including ICE agents — by performing acts of kindness, including purchasing meals for officers.
