Mickey Rourke is relying on the kindness of his fans.
The “Sin City” star signed off on a crowdfunding drive to avoid being evicted from his Los Angeles home after falling nearly $60,000 behind in rent, per The Hollywood Reporter.
The GoFundMe page, named “Support Mickey to Prevent Eviction,” was started by Liya-Joelle Jones, a friend and member of his management team.

In the description of the page, she urged fans to “help Mickey Rourke stay in his home” and tugged at their heartstrings by describing him as “raw, fearless, and utterly original,” as well as “a symbol of something rare: danger paired with vulnerability, toughness paired with heart.”
“Mickey’s life never followed a safe or protected path,” the statement further read. “At the height of his success, he stepped away from Hollywood in search of truth and authenticity, choosing risk over comfort.
“Boxing—real and punishing—left lasting physical and emotional scars, and the industry that once celebrated him moved on quickly. What followed were years of struggle not defined by spectacle, but by survival: health challenges, financial strain, and the quiet toll of being left behind.”

Jones went on to reveal that it was created with Mickey’s “full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses” and “give [him] stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time—so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet.”
“Mickey Rourke is an icon—but his trajectory, as painful as it is, is also a deeply human one. It is the story of someone who gave everything to his work, took real risks, and paid real costs. Fame does not protect against hardship, and talent does not guarantee stability. What remains is a person who deserves dignity, housing, and the chance to regain his footing.”
As of Monday morning, the page has raised almost $54,000 out of $100,000.

On Dec. 18, the “9½ Weeks” actor was served a notice to pay the $59,100 he allegedly owes his landlord, Eric Goldie, in back rent or vacate the property within three days, according to a complaint filed on Dec. 29 and obtained by People.
The doc alleges that the notice — which Rourke allegedly “failed to comply with the requirements of” — was posted on the premises and mailed to him as he was not home to receive it.
Per the filing, the professional boxer signed the lease in March 2025 for a monthly rent of $5,200, which was then increased to $7,000.
Goldie is also requesting compensation for attorney fees and a “forfeiture” of their rental agreement.

After news of his possible eviction surfaced, a source gave Daily Mail a closer look at this actor’s financial issues.
Rourke is allegedly living “paycheck-to-paycheck”because “the movies he has been doing don’t pay that much for the life he is used to.”
“He’s rich poor if that makes sense. He has outlets to make substantial amounts of money by doing films and reality shows, but he spends it so fast that he is at square one right around the time that he starts making money,” the insider told Daily Mail.
