She mocked his fixation on renaming buildings, strongman posturing, and self-promotional stunts as symptoms of deep insecurity that demean both the presidency and the country. Charen concluded that Trump’s greatest fear has already been realized: under his leadership, she wrote, the United States has never been less respected on the world stage.
