Family loses it over X-rated carrot meant to be cooked for Christmas dinner

A family was left in stitches after discovering an X-rated carrot while cooking Christmas dinner.

Julie Butler, 53, and dad Tony, 86, were chopping vegetables for their festive feast on Thursday (25/12) when they clocked the carrot’s likeness to a man’s “meat and two veg.”

The pair, from Christchurch, Dorset, had bought a bag of carrots for 15p in Tesco on Christmas Eve but didn’t spot the vegetable’s rude shape at first.

Julie, who cooked Lobster Thermidor for Tony and mom, June, 82, said: “Tesco were selling bags of vegetables on Christmas Eve for 15p.

“I was doing last-minute shopping, but I didn’t notice it until I started cooking.

“On Christmas Day morning, me and dad were prepping the vegetables together.

“Dad first saw it, and he started laughing his head off.

“I thought that was so funny.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carrot like that.”

The amused family chose not to cook the carrot – and instead displayed it on their mantlepiece alongside their Christmas cards.

Tony even put an orange on top to give it a “head.”

Julie joked that she initially considered selling the vegetable on eBay but decided against it.

She added: “It’s part of the family now.”

Julie, who is also from Christchurch and staying with her parents over the festive period, said her cooking went down a treat as they enjoyed a “lovely” dinner between their giggles.
