Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to X on Tuesday to rage against the Trump administration officials who kept the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case files under wraps for as long as they did.
Greene, a far-right lawmaker who is known for pushing conspiracy theories about Jewish space lasers on social media, has been drifting apart from Trump in recent months and was a key backer of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, finally compelling the Justice Department to release undisclosed documents about the deceased billionaire wealth manager and child predator.
She posted in response to a synopsis of new files by X influencer Mario Nawfal, which detailed a survivor describing being held by Epstein in cells resembling horse stalls “so men could look at me,” and where her fellow young girls had to perform hard enough for their abusers to be “sent upstairs” to relatively better conditions.
“This is horrifying. Trump called me a traitor for fighting him to release the Epstein files and standing with women who were raped, jailed in stalls, and trafficked to men,” wrote Greene. “Only evil people would hide this and protect those who participated. I pray for these women.”
As Greene has become disillusioned with the MAGA movement, she has made plans to exit Congress early next year, and some observers have speculated she may try to call a vote to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) before doing so.
This comes as the latest batch of released Epstein files contains other shocking revelations, including what appears to be a letter to Epstein from jailed sex-abusing former women’s gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, who said that Trump “shares our love of young, nubile girls.”
