Former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase found homeless in heartbreaking viral video

Former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase was found homeless in a heartbreaking viral video.

The 36-year-old, who played Martin Qwerly on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” from 2004 to 2007, was seen living on the streets of Riverside, Calif. in the clip, which was originally shared in September.

The fan who took the footage asked Chase — who appeared extremely disheveled — if he was on Disney Channel.

“Nickelodeon,” Chase clarified, telling the fan that he was on “Ned’s Declassified.”

“Oh yeah, you’re that kid on it,” the fan responded, as Chase told her his full name.

The video of Chase sparked widespread concern on social media.

“This actually breaks my heart,” one fan tweetedin response to the troubling clip.

‘This made me so sad,” someone else said.

Another person wrote, “The Hollywood industry is sick.”

Other fans criticized the person who filmed Chase.

“Why would you record him unless it’s to try and get him help? Shame on you,” an X user tweeted.

“Smh how you just gonna record him like that at his worst he probably didnt even wanna be seen like that no heart,” a different person wrote.

Someone else added, “He’s still human & doesn’t deserve to have his most difficult moments shared like this.”

After the video of Chase went viral in September, a GoFundMe was reportedly launched to help the former actor. The page reportedly raised over $1,200 before it was shut down by Chase’s mother.

“Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it,” his mom reportedly said. “I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can’t manage money for his meds by himself.”

Chase’s former co-stars Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee spoke out about the viral video on the Sept. 24 episode of their “Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.”

“It was a lot to process for me,” said Lee, 34. “When I first saw it, I was angry, because I was like why put a camera in someone’s face when they are on hard times?”

“But then, after I was angry at the people who were filming it, I was upset with myself in that I feel powerless. I feel like there’s not much I can do,” he added.

Shaw, who previously battled drug addiction, admitted, “I’ve been somebody like that.”

The three actors also vowed to try to help Chase in any way they can.

“Yeah, we’re all hoping we can get Tylor on a better path, we’ll see what we can do here” Daniel said. “But he’s not coming on the podcast.”

“That’s not at all what needs to happen here. There’s a lot more that needs to happen before that,” Werkheiser, 34, added.
