Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter, North West, made her Instagram debut under her own account name on Friday.
The 12-year-old kicked off her Instagram career with a blurry snapshot of herself as well as a few posts added to her Stories where she was joined by two of her friends.
The trio recorded a selfie video and posed for a picture showing off their blue, green and pink hair.
In her bio, she claims her account is “managed by parents” Kim, 45, and dad Kanye West. However, the move sparked surprise from fans as many recall her famous father, 48, was adamantly opposed to his children being on social media.
In a 2022 rant, the “Carnival” hitmaker slammed the SKIMS founder for “antagonizing” him by allowing their daughter to post videos on TikTok.
“I am her father and I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family [but] I said I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney. I have a say so,” he said in an Instagram clip at the time.
The rapper’s rampage was brought on after North, who was 8 years old at the time, made a TikTok of herself singing along to MGK’s song, “Emo Girl,” alongside her cousin, Penelope Disick.
“I told y’all before about this tik tok stuff,” West, 44, captioned the Instagram post.
“Now my 8 year old on here singing she fell in love with an emo girl Leftist don’t want fathers to have no say in our childrens [sic] lives,” he continued.
In more recent months, however, North has graduated to shocking her followers with some of her fashion stunts.
In October, she debuted a new bold look which featured fake face tattoos — including a star under her right eye and her name in cursive on her left cheek — blue braids in her hair and blue contacts.
For accessories, she sported black grillz over her teeth and a faux septum ring.
In September, she and her mom drew criticism after she revealed she pierced her middle finger.
Kardashian defended her daughter’s freedom to express herself in her October “Call Her Daddy” interview where she explained that her eldest child has an affinity for experimenting with her style.
“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” explained Kardashian, adding, “But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘okay, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”
