Erika Jayne gave an update on her divorce from Tom Girardi after filing to end their marriage back in 2020.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star gave the update on her years-long divorce during Thursday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live” — and explained why the proceedings are taking so long.
“It’s very difficult to get someone who’s incompetent to divorce. I have to ask the conservator,” Jayne explained to host Andy Cohen.
“It’s not that easy. You guys need to stop with that,” she pleaded to fans questioning why the divorce still isn’t finalized. “Chill on that.”
Cohen asked Jayne, 54, if she had “thought at all about seeing” Girardi, 86, who is in prison after being convicted in August 2024 on four counts of wire fraud.
“I have [thought about it], and no,” Jayne admitted. “It’s just too much. That’s enough. He’s done. You know, it is what it is.”
Jayne filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.
One month later, the Bravolebrity and the former attorney were hit with a lawsuitaccusing him of embezzling settlement funds meant to help the families of victims on the fatal Lion Air Flight 610 to fund his wife’s lavish lifestyle.
The following year, Girardi was diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Ultimately, Jayne was dismissed from the suit. Girardi on the other hand, was found guilty and is serving seven years and three months behind bars. He was given the sentence on his 86th birthday.
Page Six reported that Girardi began serving his sentence in July.
In a recent episode of “RHOBH,” the singer made the heartbreaking confession that she hoped her ex would die before having to go to prison.
“I said this to somebody the other day, I just kind of hoped he’d die before he’d go to prison, just so he could get it over with,” Jayne told co-star Sutton Stracke.
“To see him walk down the courtroom steps like that knowing he’s going to die in prison, that’s heavy on any level,” she said.
The reality star has since moved on from her estranged husband, as she has a new man in her life.
Jayne confirmed her relationship with Hollywood bodyguard John “Shrek” McPhee back in July after they were first romantically linked earlier that month.
“Like, I feel comfortable holding this person’s hand, and he’s a nice man,” she gushed on Teddi Mellencamp’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast. “I haven’t been seen with anybody in five years. So this is a really nice person, and I enjoy my time with him.”
