Stunning new video footage shows the moment Rob Reiner’s son Nick surrendered to police and was arrested following the violent murders of his parents.
Nick was was seen standing by a crosswalk at a Metro station in downtown Los Angeles Sunday — around 15 miles away from his parents’ home in Brentwood — wearing dark clothing and a ball cap, according to footage obtained by Page Six on Tuesday.
As two police cars approached, the 32-year-old raised his arms automatically, with more cop cars following.


Officers pushed him to the ground to place cuffs on his wrists.
Page Six previously obtained still photos of the dramatic encounter from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Gang and Narcotics Unit on Monday, though those images have since been deleted by the agency.
The Hollywood legend and his wife were found stabbed to death in their home in the upscale West Los Angeles enclave on Dec. 14.
Rob was 78 and Michele was 70 when they were discovered on Sunday afternoon with their throats split open, according to sources for The Post.


“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” the family said in a statement, per Variety.
“We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
The couple’s daughter Romy, 27, allegedly told officers that a “dangerous” relative “should be a suspect.”
Following Nick’s arrest, he was transported to transported to Parker Center Jail located in downtown Los Angeles.


He’s now being held without bail after being transferred to Twin Towers correctional Facility and is said to be on suicide watch, according to sources for TMZ.
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman and Police Chief Jim McDonnell held a press conference to announce that Nick will be formally chargedwith two counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his parents.
“Today I’m here to announce that our office will be filing charges against Nick Reiner, who is accused of killing his parents,” Hochman told media at the gathering.
“These charges will be two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife,” he explained.


“These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.”
He added that while “no decision” has been made on the potential for the death penalty, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will take the “thoughts and desires of the family into consideration.”
Nick is undergoing the process of medical clearance and will be brought to court to be arraigned, Hochman shared.


Nick allegedly engaged in a dramatic argument with his parents at Conan O’Brien’s annual Christmas party on Saturday, a source told the Post.
Their daughter Romy discovered their bodies at home on Sunday. They were declared dead at the scene, and Nick was initially identified as a person of interest in the case.
Survivors include their older children Jake Reiner, 34, and Rob’s daughter Tracy Reiner, 61, whom he adopted during his previous marriage to Penny Marshall.
