Billy Crystal seen at Rob Reiner’s home hours after his longtime friend’s death: ‘Looked like he was about to cry’

Actor Billy Crystal was spotted emotionally leaving the home of their longtime friend Rob Reiner hours after the famed filmmaker and his wife were found stabbed to death.

Crystal, 77, was seen at Reiner’s Brentwood home Sunday evening after news broke that he and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, had been killed inside, ABC 7 reported.

A neighbor told ABC 7 that the Crystals were only at the home briefly and said the “Analyze This” actor looked like he was about to cry.”

The neighbor added that “Seinfeld” creator Larry David had also arrived at the home separately and appeared emotional as he left shortly afterward.

Crystal starred in Reiner’s 1989 romantic comedy “When Harry Met Sally…” and remained close friends with the director throughout their careers.

The pair also collaborated on films such as “This Is Spinal Tap” and “The Princess Bride.”

Reiner also famously portrayed a version of himself on David’s hit HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

The 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene and were identified as Reiner and his wife.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” Reiner’s family said in a statement.

The couple’s 32-year-old son and screenwriter Nick Reiner is a person of interest in the deadly stabbing, a source told The Post.

A knife is believed to have been used in the attack, sources said.

During a press conference outside the Reiner home, LAPD Detective Chief Alan Hamilton shared that the department was still in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the property — six hours after 911 was called — to fully investigate the murders.

He assured reporters the people of Brentwood were safe, but said a suspect had not yet been arrested in connection with the murders.

Members of the film industry and beyond have begun to post tributes to Reiner online following the news of his death.

Reiner, 78, is best known for directing a slew of classic ’80s and ’90s hit films, including “When Harry Met Sally,” “The Princess Bride,” “This is Spinal Tap,” and “A Few Good Men.”

He first rose to fame for his role as Mike “Meathead” Stivic on the CBS sitcom “All in the Family,” which landed him two Emmy Awards.
