John Stamos’ former ‘Tacky AF’ mansion has asking price slashed by millions

The Calabasas estate originally owned by “Full House” star John Stamos and labeled as a “giant box of tacky” is back on the market at a massive discount.

The home went viral for it’s bizarre look when it was first listed for $13 million back in April, as The Post previously reported. Now on the market at just $7.25M — the price tag is staggeringly lower than the original asking price.

Stamos called the seven-bed, seven-bath estate home in the early ’90s, at the height of his “Full House” heyday.

Justin Aguilera, a two-time Republican congressional hopeful, and his wife, Candace Aguilera, bought the 8,147-square-foot home in 2020 — and the pair undertook a full, and opulent, remodel of the property. The interior was entirely transformed to a new white, black and gold, shiny, gaudy masterpiece.

The couple preserved Stamos’ original design of the Mediterranean facade but gutted the “very ’90s” interiors. The couple spent upwards of $3 million on the renovations, according to their former agent.

The main living space features beautifully bookmatched panda marble, a two-sided fireplace and a massive crystal chandelier. Each of the seven bathrooms is sheathed in a different kind of marble — and every toilet is clad in gold.

The makeover, however, did not get rave reviews when it hit the market. In May, the Instagram account IG Mansion shared photos of the home to a barrage of comments, House Beautiful reported.

“A giant box of tacky” and “Tacky AF” were variations on a similar refrain. Some commenters even poked fun at Stamos: “Damn, Uncle Jessie and the Rippers made a lot more money than we thought,” one commenter wrote.

The Instagram carousel amassed nearly 900 opinionated comments, including one from Stamos himself. The 61-year-old actor chimed in on IG Mansion’s post last week.

“In my defense, I sold that house many years ago and it has been ‘redecorated,’” Stamos wrote. His comment has since gained 3,118 likes, and expressions of relief from his avid fans.

“Whew! Glad to hear that because it’s REALLY gaudy,” one commenter replied.

“We know you have great taste,” another wrote. “Always the cool uncle Jessie.”

“I was going to say, no way this is his house, there’s no Disney stuff anywhere!” another wrote, referencing the star’s self-proclaimed ‘Disney adult’ status.

The opulent home, however, did receive some praise from luxury-loving commenters. “Let me get my checkbook,” one wrote, “I think I could be very happy there,” another added.

It’s unclear if the negative commentary is the reason the mansion was taken off the market and eventually re-listed at a much lower price. The OC Register was first to report the new listing price.

Tomer Fridman and Lior Totaiv of Christie’s International Real Estate SoCal hold the listing.

The Post reached out to the listing agent and owners for comment — so far, no word back.
