“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Demi Engemann admitted how “awkward” her family Thanksgiving was just one day after her co-star Jessi Ngatikaura exposed her “Fruity Pebbles” story.
“It’s an awkward topic, I’m not going to lie,” she told Entertainment Tonight Thursday. “I had to go to Thanksgiving the next day. It was not ideal.”
Despite the awkwardness, Engemann, 31, was able to make light of the situation, posting several TikToks from her Thanksgiving dinner about the intimate subject to lighten the mood.
One of them showed that she even brought Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispy Treats for dessert.

“It’s out there and it’s going to be talked about enough. I was able to handle the comments and everything with just more levity, which was nice,” she explained to the outlet when asked why she decided to confirm Ngatikaura’s comments and play into it.
“Fruity Pebbles has been a topic that we’ve all teased and talked about for so long,” she continued. “And as much as it was a private moment, and we never planned on sharing this ourselves, we have nothing else left to do other than just own it and have fun with it.”
The drama began when Engemann took to social media to claim Ngatikaura, 33, is jealous of her.
Ngatikaura then publicly revealed the meaning behind her co-star’s “Fruity Pebbles” sexual experience with her husband, Bret Engemann.

“Since she wants to be petty and be an asshole, I think I am just going to go ahead and say that grandpa Bret likes to drink her piss like it is dirty soda,” Ngatikaura said via Instagram Stories after a fan asked her to finally reveal the true meaning behind the innuendo from Season 1.
Demi responded to Ngatikaura’s claims with a statement via her own Instagram Stories in which she confirmed that the meaning is true, but also insisted that what her and her husband “did one-time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in [their] marriage.”
She went on to say that she had told her former friend this information “in confidence nearly two years ago” before their fallout and claimed the only reason why Ngatikaura chose to come forward with it now was do distract from the fact that “her own affair has come to light.”

Demi said that in reference to the hairstylist’s recent affair with “Vanderpump Villa” star Marciano Brunette, which Ngatikaura ended up owning up to in Season 3 of the Hulu series.
Even though the two women have gone back and forth with jabs throughout the show and via social media, Demi told the outlet that she is “100 percent” open to reconciling with Ngatikaura.
However, back in May Ngatikaura exclusively told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” that she will “never be friends” with her again, adding, “And I’m a pretty forgiving person. It’s a lot for me to say that.”
