MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has filed the necessary paperwork to run for Minnesota governor.
In an interview on Wednesday, Lindell told Minnesota Public Radio that he had not made a final decision about running.
“I’m 98 percent sure I’m going to,” the pillow executive explained.
Lindell has faced multiple lawsuits over his claims that voting machines were used to rig the 2020 presidential election against President Donald Trump.
In September, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Bryan ruled that Lindell defamed Smartmatic.
“The Court concludes that, based on the record presented, no reasonable trier of fact could find that any of the statements at issue are true,” Bryan wrote in the ruling.
Smartmatic attorney Erik Connolly said the company would be seeking “nine-figure damages” during an upcoming trial.
Earlier this year, a Colorado Jury found that Lindell defamed Eric Coomer, a former employee of Dominion Voting Systems.
Another lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, which has since been sold, remains unresolved.
