A Venezuelan model, actress and DJ who is reportedly “romantically linked” to the leader of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang was sanctioned by the US Treasury Department on Wednesday, as part of an entertainment industry network providing material support for the foreign terror group.
The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control announced the designation against entertainer Jimena Romina Araya Navarro, also known as Rosita, a Venezuelan model with millions of social media followers who along with other entertainers has helped launder money for TdA.
Rosita also “reportedly helped the notorious head of TdA, Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, also known as “Niño Guerrero,” who is believed to have been her onetime lover, flee Venezuela’s Tocorón prison in 2012, according to the Treasury.
The sultry influencer has starred in popular Spanish-language TV shows and also moonlights as a DJ, spinning electronic house music in her home country, Colombia and Mexico, a review of her social media accounts shows.
But much of the profits from her glamorous lifestyle were later funneled to Venezuela’s most notorious gang — including through performances at a Bogota-based nightclub run by her ex-bodyman and manager Eryk Manuel Landaeta Hernandez.
Eryk, who was arrested by Colombian authorities in October 2024, used the events hosted at his club to help peddle drugs for TdA — and then laundered the money for Niño Guerrero and another gang senior leader Mosquera Serrano, both of whom have already been sanctioned by OFAC.
While the exact nature of Rosita’s relationship with Flores remains unclear, she has had romances with convicts in the past.
In 2012, she starred in the adult animated series “Jail or Hell,” where she began a romance with series creator and former convict Luidig Ochoa, who spent time in the infamous Tocorón prison.
The relationship, however, was short-lived when Ochoa was shot repeatedly by a thief trying to make off with his motorcycle, Peru21 reported.
Years later, Rosita began dating Carlos Galíndez, a man allegedly linked to Venezuela’s drug gangs who was killed and dismembered on the side of the road in Caracas in 2016, according to the local outlet.
Pictures of Galíndez’ corpse were allegedly shared by the convicted nephews of Nicolas Maduro’s wife, Cilia Flores, with the relatives reportedly trying to protect Rosita from being murdered along with her boyfriend, according to chats released by the New York Prosecutor’s Office in 2017.
The sanctions mean the bikini-loving Rosita will be locked out of the US financial system.
“Under President Trump, barbaric terrorist cartels can no longer operate with impunity across our borders. The Tren de Aragua network’s narcotrafficking and human smuggling operations have long posed a grave threat to our nation,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said a statement.
“At the direction of President Trump, we will continue to use every tool to cut off these terrorists from the US and global financial system and keep American citizens safe.”
As a result, both Rosita and Eryk have been sanctions “for having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of TDA,” the Treasury Department announced.
Eryk’s club Maiquetia VIP Bar Restaurantare and Rosita’s company, Global Import Solutions S.A., are also being designated by the department — while all the property and interests of the pair will be blocked from doing business in the US as well as any other entities that are majority owned by them.
In addition, OFAC sanctioned Kenffersso Jhosue Sevilla Arteaga (a.k.a. “El Flipper”) and his related entities. As Niño Guerrero’s deputy, El Flipper was arrested in Colombia in November 2025 after being “involved in extortions, kidnappings, and homicides.”
Other sanctions were also slapped on TdA cell leaders and lieutenants Richard Jose Espinal Quintero, Noe Manases Aponte Cordova, and Asdrubal Rafael Escobar Cabrera, as well as Cheison Royer Guerrero Palma, Niño Guerrero’s half-brother who was pushing the gang’s activity into Chile.
Venezuelan government officials “facilitated” the illegal migration of Tda members into the US in recent years “to advance what they see as the Maduro regime’s goal of destabilizing governments and undermining public safety,” according to an intelligence assessment released in May.
Gangbangers from TdA ended up fanning out to at least 16 US states under the Biden administration and engaging in a range of criminal activity, such as petty theft, drug trafficking, extortion and human trafficking.
In February, the US State Department labeled them a foreign terrorist organization, along with the Salvadoran gang MS-13.
