A recording of a supporter of Donald Trump hoping he can watch a Democratic lawmaker get his brains “blown out” left MS NOW host Ana Cabrera searching for words on Tuesday morning.
Appearing on the network to discuss war crime allegations made against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO), a veteran who served as a captain in the 82nd Airborne Division, was asked about threats he has received since urging military members to refuse to follow illegal orders.
After taking part in a video with five other Democrats who also served in the military — unlike the president — the White House flipped out and Trump raged they should be put to death for “sedition.”
At the end of the Tuesday segment, Cabrera prompted her guest with, “I want to follow up on the threats you and others have been receiving, because we are seeing an increase in threats against lawmakers, not just those people. In the video, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says that three of his New York offices were targeted with emailed bomb threats. And we know you yourself have received threats in the wake of that video that you put out following, you know, the posts saying, do not take illegal orders.”
Cabrera then played audio of a call to Crow where a man can be heard saying, “I hope whoever blows your f—king brains out records it, because I would like to watch, you stupid c—t. What a f—king loser you are. And [Sen. Mark] Kelly and ‘S–tkin’ [Sen. Elissa Slotkin] you c—ts. You deserve to die. I hope you all get murdered.”
A grimacing Cabrera remarked, “That’s disgusting. That’s awful.”
Looking off-stage, she added, “And unfortunately, it feels like things aren’t calming down. It seems like things are getting worse. What impact does that have on you and your work?”
“Well, this is what Donald Trump has created,” the Democratic lawmaker bluntly stated. “He creates this. He condones it. He fans the flames of that type of vitriol and rhetoric of political violence, because he uses that as a weapon. What he wants to do is he wants to weaponize vitriol and threats to make people like me intimidated. He doesn’t want me enforcing the law. He doesn’t want me calling him out when he violates the law.”
