A bored White House official was caught doodling during President Donald Trump‘s cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Russ Vought, director of the United States Office of Management and Budget, was drawing a landscape with mountains, clouds, trees and an arrow pointing below the doodle while the meeting was happening, according to a photo captured by Associated Press photographer Julia Demaree Nikhinson and shared on X by AP White House reporter Seung Min Kim.
The cabinet meeting and subsequent press conference marked the last one for the year for the Trump administration.
Social media users appeared amused by the image.
“Bob Ross vibes,” John Bresnahan, Punchbowl News co-founder, wrote on X.
“His most constructive time as OMB director,” attorney Mike Parrish wrote on X.

Rep. Nellie Pou (D-NJ) shared a doctored image on X that changed Vought’s doodle to say, “Health care?”
USA Today White House correspondent Joey Garrison joked on X, “happy little trees.”
The anti-Trump group The Lincoln Project wrote on X, “These are the people responsible for making all the choices that are making your life harder.”
