Jan. 6 cop makes startling prediction about Trump’s post-presidency fate

A former police officer who nearly lost his life during the Jan. 6 insurrection mad a bold prediction about President Donald Trump’s eventual fate.

Former D.C. Metro police officer Michael Fanone, who was beaten and tased by Trump supporters during the U.S. Capitol riot, told journalist Tommy Christopher that he believes Trump will be forced to live out his days as a fugitive overseas after his second term ends, reported The Daily Beast.

“I foresee he’ll be hopping on that Qatari jet to Saudi Arabia and living out the remainder of his days in some guest house of the Saudi prince,” Fanone said. “I think things are gonna get a whole hell of a lot worse before they get any better.”

The 45-year-old former cop suffered cardiac arrest and a traumatic brain injury during the violent assault on the Capitol during the congressional certification of Trump’s 2020 election loss to Joe Biden, and he predicted bruising losses in next year’s midterm elections and a reckoning for the president.

“People are their most dangerous when they’re cornered and they have nothing left to lose,” Fanone said. “The likelihood — if there are free and fair elections in 2026 — of Donald Trump not being impeached, or at least investigated and having his administration investigated into oblivion, are slim to none.”

Fanone testified during the House select committee hearings on Jan. 6 that referred Trump for criminal prosecution, which he said led to threats by far-right militants in the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and other groups, and he said Trump sought a second term for all the worst reasons.

“He doesn’t give a sh*t who he destroys, as long as he stays out of jail, gets his retribution, and makes billions of dollars off of crypto,” Fanone said.
