‘Go to the facts’: MAGA host gives law lesson to smack down Trump’s execution threat

Real America’s Voice host David Brody noted that US lawmakers could not legally face the death penalty for sedition after President Donald Trump suggested hanging Democrats after they reminded US troops of their duty to obey the Constitution.

During a Friday segment on Real America’s Voice, co-host Gina Loudon responded to the video from congressional Democrats.

“You know, it’s an embarrassment,” she complained. “The wording in this piece of drivel that they’ve put out there is so misleading and so inciting for them to say against American citizens. Hello! Illegal aliens are not American citizens.”

“They do have some constitutional protections, but they don’t have constitutional protections beyond those that our commander-in-chief gives to our military,” she continued. “That’s where they are so misleading.”

“This is seditious, and he’s absolutely right, our president, in saying that George Washington would have had these folks hanged.”

Brody, however, pointed out that Trump was wrong about the law on sedition.

“Let’s just go to the facts here,” the host said. “I mean, the US Code says seditious conspiracy is an attempt to overthrow the government by force or whatever. It doesn’t have to be by force, put down the government.”

“But here’s the thing. It’s not punishable by death,” Brody added. “It’s punishable by up to 20 years in prison for civilians. That’s what the US Code says. It’s not punishable by death.”

Loudon concluded by accusing former President Joe Biden of giving “illegal orders against real American citizens” during the COVID pandemic.
