At the conclusion of a press conference with survivors of convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) put Donald Trump on notice that his followers in the MAGA movement will keep an eye on his actions after a bipartisan bill on the Epstein files passes.
Appearing with survivors and House colleagues, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY), Taylor Greene was asked if she had confidence the Department of Justice would actually release the files and that Trump would sign off on the move.
“I only take people’s actions seriously — no longer words” she began.
Pressed on Trump, she added, “And I’ll tell you, because I wasn’t a Johnny-come-lately to the MAGA train, I was day one 2015 and there is a big difference in those Americans and those who decided to support Trump later on.”
“Now this is one of the most destructive things to MAGA, watching the man that we supported beyond three elections, for people that stood hours — slept in their cars at rallies, have fought for truth and transparency and to hold what we consider a corrupt government accountable, watching this turn into a fight has ripped MAGA apart.”
“The only thing that will speak to the powerful courageous women behind me is when action is actually taken to release these files and the American people won’t tolerate any other bulls—t,” she concluded.
