The Ruins of Unte can be quite tricky to get into in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree. Like the other ruins in Shadow of the Erdtree, you know that there is something inside, but a giant Furnace Golem blocks the way in.
Fortunately, there are two ways to get inside the Ruins of Unte — moving the Furnace Golem or jumping in through the back. Read on to learn how to get to the Ruins of Unte and both methods of getting inside.
Ruins of Unte location in Elden Ring DLC
The Ruins of Unte are located to the southeast of Shadow Keep.
To reach the Ruins of Unte, you’ll need to do the following:
- Teleport to the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace.
- Turn around and ride the elevator down.
- Turn left at the corner and follow the pathway to find a ladder leading to a lower level on your left.
- Descend the ladder and enter the pathway behind the waterfall to find another ladder.
- Go down the ladder to find a wall on your right that has two torches.
- Hit the area between the two torches to reveal an illusionary wall.
- Proceed through to new hallway and get inside the stone coffin to find the Ruins of Unte.
How to get into the Ruins of Unte
There are two ways of getting into the Ruins of Unte: moving the Furnace Golem or jumping over the southeastern wall. Let’s break them down.
How to move the Furnace Golem in front of the Ruins of Unte
- Get onto the balcony of the northwestern building.
- Throw a hefty furnace pot into the Furnace Golem to awaken it.
- Defeat the Furnace Golem or head inside of the Ruins of Unte.
With the Furnace Golem awake, you’re free to enter the Ruins of Unte and collect the Giant Golden Arc Incantation from the chest and alter your Stone-Sheathed Sword at the altar.
How to jump into the Ruins of Unte
On the southeastern corner of the Ruins of Unte, you’ll notice a little divot in the wall. This section of the wall is normally unreachable, but there is a little cheesy strategy of getting in:
- Double-jump onto the tiny ledge of the southeastern pillar.
- Double-jump over to the divot in the wall to enter the Ruins of Unte.
With this method, you can collect all of the rewards inside without having to deal with the Furnace Golem!
