“Ex Machina” (February 1)

Written and directed by Alex Garland, this sci-fi thriller follows a programmer (Domhnall Gleeson) who is given the opportunity of a lifetime by his CEO (Oscar Isaac) to test out a humanoid robot he’s created.

But that robot, Ava, (Alicia Vikander) turns out to be more than either of them can handle.

“Crazy, Stupid, Love” (February 1)

There’s just something about a movie that showcases the irresistible chemistry of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

This rom-com is also fueled by a strong performance from Steve Carell as a guy whose marriage is on the rocks.

“Hell or High Water” (February 1)

This modern-day Western has become an instant classic thanks to its biting screenplay from “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan. Don’t sleep on the talent of its stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges, the latter of whom earned an Oscar nomination for his performance as an aging Texas Ranger.

“Mrs. Doubtfire” (February 1)

This Robin Williams comedy, in which he plays a father who goes to the extreme length of dressing up as an elderly housekeeper to see his kids after a messy divorce, is one of his classic roles.

“You’ve Got Mail” (February 1)

In this touching and entertaining Nora Ephron rom-com, Meg Ryan stars alongside Tom Hanks to tell a New York City love story that forces us to address the question: how did we ever get anything done back in the days of dial-up internet?

“Zero Dark Thirty” (February 1)

In this Oscar-nominated film, director Kathryn Bigelow chronicles the nearly decadeslong manhunt to track down and kill Osama bin Laden.

Jessica Chastain delivers one of the best performances of her career as Maya, a CIA intelligence analyst who has spent her career trying to track down bin Laden.

“The Black Phone” (February 12)

“The Iron Claw” (February 19)

Chronicling the famed pro wrestling family the Von Erichs, “The Iron Claw” follows the four sons, three of whom tragically die at the height of their powers, while one, Kevin, (Zac Efron) is left behind to carry on their legacy.

All the “Expendables” movies (February 20)
