MAGA rep sides with Dems to fire off major new Epstein subpoenas: ‘No one more important’

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee secured a major victory on Wednesday by approving new subpoenas to investigate the child sex trafficking in the Jeffrey Epstein case, Politico reported.

“It was the culmination of a flurry of subpoena requests Wednesday from rank-and-file members of the panel, several of which were ultimately approved. The committee … voted to subpoena Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn — Epstein’s lawyer and accountant, respectively,” said the report. Also subpoenaed was Les Wexner, a longtime friend and former client of Epstein.

Most Republicans declined to advance the subpoenas. However, per the report, “The successful motions, brought by the top Democrat on panel, California Rep. Robert Garcia, appeared to be the result of an agreement between Garcia and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), who also successfully moved to subpoena American businessman Neville Singham and journalist Seth Harp.”

“There is probably no one more important as it relates to the financing and the work of this investigation, which both sides of the aisle are interested in,” said Garcia. Luna agreed, saying, “I think that this is a sound motion for subpoena because Les Wexner has been named by victims and also, too, is in a number of documentaries.”

Other key Democratic-supported subpoenas into the fatal Immigration and Customs Enforcement shooting in Minneapolis Wednesday were shut down.

This comes as the Trump administration has yet to release millions of pages of documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which has already passed its deadline for the entire trove of files to be released.
