‘Something doesn’t feel right’: Bondi catches flack for announcement after Maduro capture

Hours after Donald Trump’s administration stunned the world by invading Venezuela and capturing President Nicolás Maduro and his wife in what was described as a “large-scale strike” on the country, Attorney General Pam Bondi took to X to describe what comes next.

That opened her up to a substantial number of questions and criticisms from commenters.

Trump’s AG wrote, “Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York. Nicolas Maduro has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.”

She added, “ They will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts. On behalf of the entire U.S. DOJ, I would like to thank President Trump for having the courage to demand accountability on behalf of the American People, and a huge thank you to our brave military who conducted the incredible and highly successful mission to capture these two alleged international narco traffickers.”

For many conservative commenters, there were concerns about Maduro facing justice in New York where there are fears he won’t feel he won’t “feel the the full wrath of American justice” like she claimed.

“So we just hyper complicated this case to a jurisdiction power struggle? In S NY? Well all alrighty then,” questioned conservative Kenneth Elder.

Uniparty Bomber had similar concerns, and wrote, “The Southern District of NY? You have to be kidding me. Why in the world would you go there?!?!”

“Indicted in SDNY? Is that to ensure something does or doesn’t happen?” observed conservative Sissy Muehleisen.

“Hopefully not the ‘full wrath’ Ghislaine Maxwell is getting,” added Kim King.

MAGA supporter Kazz09 floated a conspiracy is afoot, and wrote, “Why NY? Something doesnt feel right”

“Anything but release the Epstein files right,” N3ON accused.

“Why do anything in NY? I don’t like the smell of this one,” noted Trump supporter Honesty Wins.
