President Donald Trump keeps posting content from a fake X account for White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, although the X account is clearly marked as parody.
The 79-year-old president has been sharing screenshots from @WHLeavitt on his Truth Social account, despite the account’s name being “Fan Karoline Leavitt” – albeit with “fan” rendered in stylized fonts and emojis – and a “parody” badge tacked on to each post by X, reported The Daily Beast.
“BREAKING: Fulton County admits 315K 2020 votes lacked required poll worker signatures — a major rule violation,” reads one post that Trump shared on his own account. “Republicans demand restitution for Rudy Giuliani, hit with charges & $148M fine for contesting GA election. Do you support giving his money back?”
The account, which has 213,000 followers, frequently posts anti-immigrant content, such as one demanding the deportation of all Somali immigrants from Minnesota that the president shared during his Christmas Day posting spree.
Many of the anti-immigrant posts feature polls asking whether some group of immigrants should be deported or otherwise persecuted, often with the choices presented as “hell yeah” or “no.”
“Afghan ‘refugees’ in Texas want to ban Americans from eating pork and drinking beer because Allah has decided so,” read one post from Tuesday morning, showing a small demonstration by Muslim men outside a building. “Do you support deporting all Somalis, all Afghans, all Islamic refugees and all illegals? A. Big yes B. No.”
Other posts on the account ask followers to rate Leavitt’s rear end.
“What do you think of my backside?” read one post, showing Leavitt walking up some steps to an airplane. “Watch the video — it’s featured in the final 3 seconds. I am with President Trump and Mr. Musk.”
Other posts have invited followers to enjoy tea at the White House or to a press conference led by Leavitt, although Trump did not share those.
“I am selecting 1,776 MAGA supporters from X for a free White House visit on July 4th, with a Trump photo op!” the parody account posted. “If President Trump approved and all the expenses were covered, would you join?”
The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment on the parody content shared by the president.
