Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was accused of stealing a video of troops wearing Santa hats from a freelance reporter who covers the alt-right and focuses on exposing Nazis.
On Christmas Eve, Hegseth shared a video of National Guard troops dressed in Santa garb. The video did not include any attribution.
“Fully authorized uniform modification!
” the defense secretary wrote. “Merry Christmas to our warriors — America’a best.”
“Pete Hegseth stole my f—— video???” Moore responded several minutes later, adding, “DMCAing this is going to be so satisfying.”
In fact, her X timeline showed that she had first posted the video 11 hours before Hegseth.
“Let them go home!!” she wrote at the time.
