Amanda Bynes is proud of how she looks!
The former actress, 39, took to her Instagram Story Monday to give her followers a rare update about her weight-loss journey.
Though she “usually [doesn’t] like paparazzi pictures” of herself, she posted a recent one that showed her walking down a sidewalk in Los Angeles.
“I was 180lbs,” she wrote atop the image, “but now I’ve lost 28lbs on ozempic! I’m down to 152lbs.”
Bynes added, “I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!”
In the shot, the former child star paired a loose-fitting Lady Gaga T-shirt with baggy ripped jeans, completing her casual outfit with a small Louis Vuitton denim purse.
These days, Bynes is sporting a platinum-blond mullet, thick dark eyebrows and a septum ring. The small heart tattoo on her cheek was also on display.
Bynes admitted to her Instagram followers in March 2024 that she had “gained over 20lbs in the past few months from being depressed.”
At the time, she weighed 162 pounds and confessed that her goal was to “get back to 110lbs.”
In November 2018, the “Amanda Show” star revealed that she had “abused Adderall” for years to maintain a certain weight at the height of her fame, telling Paper magazine at the time that she “fak[ed] the symptoms of ADD” to get her hands on the prescription medication.
Bynes had an impressive career in both TV and film but walked away from Hollywood after her role in the 2010 movie “Easy A,” citing both negative experiences in the industry and a desire to focus on fashion and cosmetology.
In the years that have followed, the “She’s the Man” star has struggled with mental health issues and was even placed under a conservatorship from August 2013 to March 2022.
She continues to experiment with her appearance, undergoing cosmetic eyelid surgery in 2023 and getting lip filler in August.
