A MAGA firebrand roasted Fox News during a CNN interview on Tuesday over the network’s coverage of President Donald Trump’s administration.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene(R-GA) called out Fox News for being late to the party on “affordability,” which public polling shows is the top issue for voters heading into the 2026 midterm election. She also called out House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for putting Republicans in a tough spot on health care by shutting down the government for eight weeks.
“While CNN has been talking about affordability, all of a sudden, after Republicans got crushed in that election not too long ago, Fox News is all of a sudden willing to talk about affordability because it is a crisis, and health insurance is the coming crisis that we’re trying to work on in the House right now,” Greene said. “But they waited too late.”
Greene added that the cost of health care has become a problem for her rural district. She has 75,000 constituents who use Affordable Care Act subsidies to pay for health care. Those subsidies are set to expire soon, which will drive up their health care costs, Greene warned.
“This is a real issue,” Greene said. “But instead of working hard to come up with a solution they they have waited until the last minute, and we’re literally weeks away from those expiring.”
