Billy Ray Cyrus demands thousands from woman claiming to be Miley’s biological mom

Billy Ray Cyrus is demanding thousands from the woman who sued him, claiming to be the biological mom of Miley Cyrus.

On Wednesday, Billy Ray filed a request that the woman, named Jayme Lee, be ordered to pay him $7,564.13 to cover the legal bills he amassed while defending himself against her claims, per court docs obtained by Us Weekly.

Billy Ray’s reps were not immediately available to Page Six for comment. His lawyer declined to comment.

Lee filed a lawsuit in May, claiming she was the biological mother of Miley, 33. She alleged that she gave birth to Miley at 12 years old and entered into a “private adoption agreement’ with Billy Ray and Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus.

She also claimed she suffered “severe emotional distress” when Billy Ray allegedly “misrepresented the circumstances” of the alleged adoption.

According to her, the alleged adoption agreement included that she would get to name Miley and work as her nanny and piano teacher.

The lawsuit, obtained by the Daily Mail, accused Billy Ray, 64, and Tish, 58, of “breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation, intentional inflection of emotional distress and unlawful interference with parental rights.”

She asked for supervised DNA maternity and paternity testing of Miley and her parents, and to revisit the legality of the alleged adoption pending results. However, her request for a trial was denied by a judge in October.

Last month, the country singer filed a motion to dismiss all of Lee’s claims, which he called “false and absurd.” He accused Lee of filing the lawsuit for the “purposes of harassing” him and his family, the Daily Mail reported.

His attorney told the outlet that Lee’s lawsuit was dismissed on Dec. 5.

Although his attorney also said that his client was “awarded the recovery of his reasonable and necessary attorney’s fees and costs,” Cyrus filed this request after the case was closed.

Besides Miley, Billy Ray and Tish share two other children together: Braison, 31, and Noah, 25. He also adopted her children Brandi, 38, and Trace, 36, from her previous marriage to Baxter Neal Helson.

The former couple split in 2022 after nearly 28 years of marriage.
