Tucker Carlson once told Olivia Nuzzi that she should fear for her life and offered to send her a shotgun after news of her affair with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. broke — as the scandal-scarred journalist alleged she was “afraid Bobby will kill me,” her ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza claimed.
Lizza dropped the allegations as he detailed the lengths RFK Jr.’s team — including a “terrifying” security adviser named Gavin de Becker — apparently went to in a bid to keep the scandalous sexting tryst under wraps.
“[De Becker] would occasionally check in on Olivia, according to her friends, just to make sure she remained loyal and was protecting Bobby’s secrets,” Lizza wrote in the latest installment of his Telos News Substack on Wednesday.
“At one point, Olivia told Tucker Carlson about the details of one of de Becker’s calls to her. Tucker told her she should fear for her life and offered to send her a shotgun.”
Lizza, a former reporter for Politico, claimed his ex-fiancée had repeatedly voiced fears to him that she feared her life was in danger if the news of the affair ever got out.
After the details of the affair exploded publicly and Kennedy convinced Nuzzi to stay loyal to him by spinning the narrative, Lizza said the Kennedy scion quickly started ghosting her.
Nuzzi, at one point, desperately sought Carlson’s help in reaching out to Kennedy, Lizza claimed.
Carlson later met Kennedy for dinner, where they are said to have “debated how high up” an alleged “plot to destroy Bobby” went, Lizza wrote.
“Tucker, by then, was telling people, including Olivia, that Bobby was being blackmailed by Israel,” Lizza said.
“Bobby just thought it was me, possibly working with Olivia. But Tucker thought it was a much grander deep-state plot to destroy Trump by destroying Bobby. He assumed I was just the tip of the spear.
“In terms of conspiracy theorists, he was like the Alex Jones to Bobby’s Oliver Stone,” he added.
Lizza has been drip-feeding his side of the story in recent weeks ever since Nuzzi published a memoir about the short-lived sexting fling she had with Kennedy during his doomed 2024 presidential bid.
