Ariana Grande has officially wrapped filming on Focker-in-Law, the new installment in the Meet the Parents franchise set to bow next year.
The two-time Grammy-winning pop artist marked the occasion with an Instagram carousel, featuring a first look at her character name, Olivia Jones. Details about who she will be playing have remained under wraps.
“these past few months have been so, so unimaginably special. i love my Fockers, and i love my Byrnes… so, so very much ♡ i will miss this bunch terribly. see you next november ! ♡,” she wrote alongside behind-the-scenes images featuring co-stars Ben Stiller, Beanie Feldstein, Skyler Gisondo and Eduardo Franco.
Back in September, Stiller told E! News of working alongside the actress-singer: “What’s surprising, and maybe not really surprising, is how amazingly she blended in. She’s such a pro, she’s so funny, she’s so talented, obviously as a singer, but also she was so funny and amazing in Wicked. What she’s doing in this movie is very unique, it’s a very unique character, and we’re having a great time and just like to work with her.”
Scheduled for release Nov. 25, 2026, John Hamburg serves as writer and director of the fourth film in the franchise, which began with 2000’s Meet the Parents. It followed Greg Focker, a nurse who suffers a series of unfortunate events while visiting his soon-to-be in-laws, played by Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner, who are set to reprise their roles. Teri Polo, who played Pam Byrnes, Greg’s girlfriend-turned-wife, is also set to return. The jury is still out whether Barbra Streisand will reprise her role as Roz Focker, Greg’s mom, and the EGOT winner has said she’s “pissed” about having been paid less than her male co-stars in the franchise.
Aside from appearing in Focker-in-Law, Grande has a busy slate ahead, with the forthcoming release of Wicked: For Good, her 2026 tour in support of her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine and voice role in the new animated feature Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, based on Dr. Seuss’s classic children’s book.
