The stage is officially set for the 2025 Conference Finals.

More NBA news: Thunder-Timberwolves Western Conference Finals Preview: What to Know

In the East, a classic rivalry is renewed as the New York Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line. For both teams, the stakes couldn’t be higher—either the Knicks will chase their first championship in over half a century, or the Pacers will aim to capture their first title in franchise history.

Out West, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder square off in a battle of rising powers. While the Thunder franchise owns a championship from its Seattle SuperSonics days, they’ve yet to win one since relocating to Oklahoma City. As for Minnesota, they’re still in search of their first NBA Finals appearance, though they now stand just one step away from breaking through.

While these two series hold a ton of weight, it is clear that one is bigger than the other, just look at the ticker or the price. Game 1 between the Timberwolves and Thunder is significantly cheaper than that of the Pacers and Knicks Game 1.

How much cheaper? Game 1 in Oklahoma City is a little over $500 cheaper than Game 1 in New York.

This makes sense on the surface since Game 1 is in New York. Madison Square Garden has a different atmosphere from the PayCom Center in Oklahoma.

Still, these games carry a ton of weight, but it is clear which one many find more entertaining and vital.

It’s quite off-putting to think that the Timberwolves and Thunder have two of the best and brightest young stars in the game: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards. These two players have more than made a name for themselves; they are arguably two of the best players in the league today.

Game 1 between Minnesota and Oklahoma City will take place on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Thunder are home favorites for this Game 1 contest with a -6.5 spread.

While ticket prices might not reflect it, this matchup is anything but low-profile. Both teams are on the rise, and it wouldn’t shock anyone if one of them ends up hoisting the trophy when all is said and done a month from now.
